The recreation village of Slapy and its surroundings is a well known area for relaxing only 30 km south of Prague on the Vltava river. It is the perfect place for a family holiday or just to "get out" enjoying the water and water sports (sailing, paddle boats, waterscooters - in secured areas etc.) You can also rent a boat and row around with your family, sail on the well established boat transport system, swim or go fishig - a fishing permit is neccessary. The lovely forests surrounding the area invite you to go for long relaxing walks, mushrooming in the Autumn or cycling on the numerous cycling tracks that are well marked. You can also see the world from the saddle riding on horses that are available (1km) in Slapy where you can also go shopping or enjoy a meal on one of the many reastaurants in the surroundings(500m).
